On the Prime server, the Avatar has awaken! This race of aggressive aliens is part of the End Game scenario we have
in mind for the present Asgard Heroes servers. The Avatar will be available as a STANDALONE RACE and you will be
able to play with these guys soon. Until that time comes, people on Prime who defeat any of the 9 Avatar colonies could
be the proud owners of an unique race not everyone will get a chance to play with.

To give you a sneak preview of what to expect once you own an Avatar colony:

If you have more than your capital colony you can find 'somewhere' a Outpost menu ...

hey pretender man.
just love the avatar in harbinger. just so u know. we r a little behind prime in forces. it will be a while b4 we can take one of the colonies. I should know. i am the largest player and got the most powerful alliance. lol the whole server couldn't do it right now. but i will be building towards that goal. just curious is the reward for an alliance or an individual player??

I have added the code for conquering colonies (NOT testes so it could not work, or bugs could happen ...)
At the profile page there will be the "Disturbia Req 4 Conquer" column which say how many Disturbia ships are required to be after the battle so you can be able to take the Colony. (Disturbia does NOT destroy buildings!!!)

The ships need to be send with Attack and they will be lost when conquering the colony...

Also there is a thread on Xeno about some problems with reducing the Colony population more test/reports need to be done ...

So now we will made a preview of the new feature which will be added to the game. Maybe they will not be implemented exactly like this, but it is a good preview.

Basically we will use a unit (right now I'm thinking of spy's) after battle to search for the hidden resources.
So basically you will have a 33% chance to discover more resources and steal them.
The quantity of resources stolen from the shifters will be calculated like this: min ( (number of attacking spy - number of defending spy)*25, (protected resources / 3)).

Meaning you have 30% chance to take 25 resources for every spy you have more than the enemy, with an maximum of around 30% of the resources protected by shifters ...

ps.
Silviu make or give me the images for Reinforce, Attack, Attacked, Spy, Raid, Portal Raid for reports. (Be sure to have different colors like: Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, ... , ...)

That's a good idea. DO you think these things should be researched though? Like, for the speed bonus that spies give and this new finding extras, shouldn't that be researched from the armor barracks? Just a thought.

Isn't that sort of going to make the strong stronger and the weak weaker?

Queens and I'm assuming Valhalla's seem virtually impossible to get due to the enormous upgrades required, which would make building destroying ships impossible for all except the most developed. As the required numbers of Pandora/Disturbia required to capture a colony are quite massive (understandably so) you are taking the only other means mid sized players have of defending themselves. Large players will now fear no one but another super power, not even an aliance of many can hurt a single large player.

Mid sized players need to be able to say to large players "yes you may destroy me but in doing so I will at least make it cost you by downgrading a few buildings". Being able to steal a couple of resources just doesn't cut it.

Anyway thats my rant for today.
