War in a war game?!

Ok so someone please help me understand this. Draco is a war game, but where is the war? I understand clans don't want to attack eachother right now, but what if there were a goal? a two week event in which clans HAVE to attack each other to win battle points. The members of the top alliance will all get lets say umm 500 marines? (probably higher!) 2nd place half that and third half that! very simple
One other thing.
Random events! Jeez. This would make it so much more fun. Every 5 minutes, there is a random chance of something happening. Half the time, nothing happens, but the other half, maybe you colonists found 500 argon, or (this would happen very rarely) your colonists found a wasp or some other ship. This would encourage people to stay on longer. Also, there should be a percent chance that you will be attacked by an alien life form. You will get resources if you manage to repel the attack, and more resources for every enemy you bring down.
Post suggestions and feedback please!
Thanks

Re: War in a war game?!

The 5 minute event Isn't quite a good idea. And also the war event idea Isn't so good either the reason why is because It'll be unfair. And also in a war game that pure luck plays a huge role isn't very good and the war event is bad because It'll help the weak alliances who get hundreds of 300 or so pop players . Maybe once a hour if the player is logged in the colonist might find something small like 100 of each resource or a couple of the basic troops .The war event could be moderated like there could a base amount that's equally split between members . It's not like your ideas weren't very good. You just didn't have the rewards in fair or reasonable amounts. Like say one alliance has 30 members the other one has 300 and the one with 30 has around same amount of population and power and the one with 30 members gets first place it shouldn't be 500 troops for every member and if the alliance with 300 members gets second place it shouldn't be 250 troops for every member. But, say the first place alliance gets 1000 troops for each member and it has 30 members and say the second place alliance has 300 members it should be 50 units for each member since you divide the amount by ten because of the size then divide it by 2 if such stuff like that is added the system would be fair. :) If you understood what I said you should probably understand why I didn't like what was given at first. But, after given reasonable amounts it seems fair and a great idea .

Darkness: You raise some interesting points. Dont worry, I was listening :). It was just an idea, your feedback tells me that it needs to be changed. ;)
Thanks. And Pr3t3nd3r, I agree, making spies spy would be nice.
