New Fun (Suggest Features)

I want to implement new features which will make the game more fun!
So everybody who want's new feature please let them know.

The easiest to implement will be done.

Also the most fun.

This will be a future space for my suggestions and ideas.

Suggestion 1:

Make several npc outpost around the map that is similar to mines except that it produces all resources and bc.
When the outpost is raided and reduced to 0 resources and bc, the outpost cannot be attacked for the next 24 hours.

I like this idea and I'd like to see it happen but with a slight difference, have the NPC outpost have troops and defences that require a large army or group of players working together, to get at the resources. This link has wheat I mean, viewtopic.php?f=3&t=183

Since I'm not a programmer and I can't do anything about it, I also have 3 suggestions. :)

1. The option for the Founder of the alliance to add a Secretary, who will have the power to send invitations.
2. The "Select all Units" button at Stargate. Really, really useful feature if you ask me.
3. For each 7 days a specific soldier will be trained 3 times faster than normal. This event will be known
as: "The Week of the Marine" or "The Week of the Valkyrie" and applies only to ground units.

That is all I can think of right now.

Here's what I have so far,

1. Missions, not like raid or attack, but stargate missions (or starship missions) to planets/stars/galactic object of interest. There will be basic description of the mission what kind of resistance to expect what kind of rewards you might get. And different missions will have different requirements. You could make these missions available once or twice or however many number per day. It would give the weaker players something to do if they don't have a big army to raid or can't compete with older players. Here's two example of missions.

a) Mine planet Y for Erythium, require: at least 10 marines. There's some random chance the expedition force will encounter wild life that they must fight. Now no two player goes on the exact mission so the newbie players don't have to worry about whether they get any rewards for the effort. The reward can be made to scale with troop commitment up to some limit and the time commitment has to be fair (1/2 hour, 1 hour, whatever makes sense). So that even if players don't start next to mines or inactive outposts they could do some missions instead of raiding.

b) Defense local village on planet Z from large dangerous animals, require: at least 10 templars, villages give you some random resources as reward.

The scale of the mission can change depending on the player's total population. The number of missions will be independent of colony numbers so higher level player won't have too much of an advantage. You can potentially tie in a storyline into these missions so they would become kind of like quests. Well its probably a lot of programming but I figure I throw it out there.


2. An overaching enemy. Fighting each other is fun, but fighting against one common enemy that threaten the entire galaxy could be fun too. You could spawn random NPC spacecrafts and bases (goes with Unicron's idea) for players to attack and players can score points based on the damage they inflict. The bases would not be perpetual though, once one player destroy the guards and loots it, it will disappear. There would be a separate score board to kill track of how much each player (and maybe alliance) is contributing to defeating this overaching enemy. NPC spawning could be at a fixed rate or whenever one outpost is destroyed another spawn.

When a certain total score is achieved, you could spawn a boss mothership or motherbase which require everyone to work together to defeat. Everyone who participates could get loots. Once the boss is dead the score board resets and a new cycle starts. This one probably takes a lot of programming too.


3. Add generals to lead armies.

4. Add some random galactic objects to explore, like wormholes, and neutron stars, and what not.

5. Unit upgrades (unless they already work, I was under the impression they don't based on what people have been saying). It could really change the tides of battles and led to unexpected battle results.

I will like to see some features done according to my suggestion. Base on what I have already
said on link - viewtopic.php?f=11&t=232

I wanted to suggest that
Some Units have only a limited attack ability, my meaning is that Units can differentiate into several categories,
1st group is that the Units can ONLY attack ground units (Marines)
2nd group is that the Units can ONLY engage air units (Drone Weapons)
3rd group is that the Units can encounter BOTH ground and air units (Both Marines and Drone Weapons)

For an example, Space Marines use Laser Guns to shoot their enemies down. Since Laser Guns are Ranged Weapons, Space Marines belonged to the 3rd group. For another example, Templar and Mecha belonged to the 1st group(guessing, based on their pictures, they use swords).

By this Extra Features, this would make the game more Balanced. Without this extra feature, Mecha is far much stronger than Marines and is also Offensive Type(in other words, Mecha replaces Marines later in the game during attacks), thus when attacking another strong player, the (Strong)Attacker will train loads of Mecha instead of Marines.

In the other way, with this limited attacks feature, Smart Players will train balanced amount of Marines and Mecha during a Attack if the Player wanted to fully disable the Victim by destroying the ships(Marines) and Ground Units(Mecha).

Of course, all the Units that is in the 3rd Group MUST be slightly weaker than the other two.

I don't know whether you guys like it or not. Please Ignore this if you guys doesn't like this idea.

I would like something similar to this, an NPC outpost, but once you deplete it, its destroyed. Have them randomly spawn around the map to eliminate possible ideas of favoritism. Something along those lines. Or maybe an 'Advanced Ship' ship that shows up and moves towards a player base every day, and if that playerbase and any nearby people don't attack/destroy it, it starts feeding on the neighborhood, much like Unicron ;)

A good idea but if the ship is moving how are you going to send troops to it?
or would you need ships to attack it?

Dev's can figure that part out, I gave them the seed of an idea :) Seeings how every hunk of floating space rock has a stargate, wouldn't be a far stretch for a ship to have one, so you could send troops.

as seen from this post viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2036 players in this game can not know that some huge battles are going on right now. I think this game should have tab like rep(a) that will be saying to all players of this game (that some player killed some number troops in attack. so reports wouldn't say number of troops involved in attack nor number of defending troops but it would say how much troops are killed on attacker side and on defender side and who is attacker and who is defending .
and we should have stats saying total count of all troops killed in some war (md -big guns)

this would up interest in this game because now some players don't know that these huge battles are going on. they can only see that there is current war between some 2 alliances but that does not say much
