reinforce bug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was trying to send attack to Korat IV outpost but I accidentally chose reinforce. When I saw reinforce going to Korat IV outpost I clicked x canceling reinforce. And Korat IV received my troops!!!

now Korat has 2 thousand of my troops!! fix it get my troops back to me.

In not such a demanding manner, i second this and suggest this problem be fixed, the amount of times people have nearly reinforced by accident, realised it and then cancelled only to see incoming troops all of a sudden disappear to the enemy or a random mine.

I feel at this stage it is a problem worth correcting

ok I dont believe it. I was planning to send raid to haven (iron_eyes) and somehow game sent reinforce. now if I click x to cancel reinforce he will receive troops. and if I dont he will still receive troops.
and we are talking about 20k troops.


now what??

The same happened with 1400 troops earlier for mcratz, sent reinforce by accident and then he cancelled it and low and behold, i minute later his troops were at redice2 instead of back at Augsburg

I LOVE THE REINFORCE BUG! i would hate to see it eliminated. i agree that it should be modified. the portal's should allow instant gate travel. it is very realistic. I can see why it would be undesirable to attack instant. but as it is a person has to be very careful with how he attacks so that his target can't get reinforced by an alliance buddy. some of us scattered our colonies around with just this idea in mind. we would be at a supreme disadvantage over the ones that grouped their colonies if you eliminate it. if it is changed at least give us the option of moving our colonies closer together. If you notice all the ones in favor of eliminating the bug are groped close together. Maybe there should be someway to recall the troops if you mess up. it isn't very realistic to reinforce your enemy.

ezeratul, shane love u guys but i gotta agree with little bro on this one. my colonies in harbinger are spread out, and so was baal's colonies in Prime. with this bug fixed, (i don't consider it a bug) it will take all day just to move across the map. With this "bug" fixed i might as well delete all but one colony and start over. i got 9 colonies, not paying $45 to move them now. and that is just in harbinger. Don't think Baal will pay to get his colonies in prime moved either. This fix will absolutely swing the balance of power to those that are grouped together. we will not be able to attack them any easier whereas they can simply pick off our colonies that are on the other side of the map. That is not only not realistic but very unfair. little bro taught me this method the first day i started to play. no one would have suffered through the discomfort of waiting hours for the transports to deliver the goods to an outlying colony if this "bug" didn't offset this with some advantages. it will almost eliminate the advantages of having colonies spread out. If you change it, give me some crystals and i'll move all the colonies to the center of the map.

Everyone who lost ships due to the erroneous reinforcement, PM me and I will restore them back to you. Please specify your exact in-game username (capitals letters matter), the number of troops and the colony where to give you back those ships. Thank you.

i think you should change the bug so you can reinforce in 1 minute like the bug if you want to, but you can choose the slow way if you want to. i also think you should make it so you can cancell the reinforce because i once accidently clicked reinforce with 10 spies and i tried to cancell but then it sent them. i didnt post because it was only 10 spies.

This is indeed a game changer. It will change the fundamental way in which many people have been playing this game. I think that possibly swatting this bug be put off until a satisfactory way of pleasing both sides be found. This bug helps the distant colonies in some of these alliances get protection when needed. It was recently instrumental in protecting a member from a much larger foe. This instant travel allows us small alliances a way of fending off some of the more aggressive and much larger enemies. I heartily sympathize with those that have lost troops to this bug. I have myself fallen victim to it.(more than once)

In prime this point is not as much of a concern, but in harbinger where there is a plethora of small players and a few giant players, this is a big point. Indeed this very point forces many of the larger players to spread out and get closer to their targets to avoid us small alliances from reinforcing our buddies in time. So in effect the entire harbinger server has been affected by this bug. it has shaped the very fabric of game play. If this bug was just fixed the only way an alliance could fend off some of these players would be to group together as TFA has done in Prime.

Thanks for stating your opinion in this matter UnderDog. Just to be clear, I would like to point out that NO INSTANT TRAVEL BETWEEN STARGATES would ever be implemented, not even as a paying feature. That would drastically change the entire gameplay and we don't want that.
