[SYSTEM] Extra Build Queue fails?

I may be misunderstanding how it's supposed to work, but I used crystals to buy myself an extra build queue for a week. I've been playing for less than a week, so it should still apply. However, when I build multiple items, they always follow one another: i.e. the second item doesn't begin building until after the first one is finished, rather than building in parallel. (This is for my colony, Spin).

I don't know if this is how multiple queues were designed, but if it is, they really aren't very useful, especially early in the game. They seem to save just a few seconds or minutes per build, rather than letting me build one project that takes an hour or more in one queue, and multiple, little projects (like resources mines) in others.

When I first activated those extra slots I thought they were pretty useless too. The real value comes from being able to queue a few time consuming buildings so your colony can build continuously while you're away/sleeping. But its value diminishes for super active players.

I suspect my biggest complaint was just that it wasn't an extra queue, but simply increasing the maximum size of your queues from 1 to 2 or 3. As you say, it's really not that useful for active players, as it appears to be implemented, but nice for allowing you to do somehting while you're away from the game.

for someone like me who has 3 colonies and 2 are still weak and can be fed resources to grow non stop it would be nice to have the extra building queues

nah. paralel buildings would just make a player way too strong way early in the game. so I don't think it should change. just an opinion.

The idea with the extra building queues is to allow players to queue (an ordered list of tasks to be performed) structures while away or busy with other things. The option exists because early in the game it's simply annoying having a single building queue and have to wait after each structure to complete.
